Free Flight is back!

Free Flight surfboards is back with shaper Phil Myers. The Ballina based label which produced the Col Smith Cannel Design, the Hydro Channel, the vent System is producing all these designs again in retro and modern designs as well as all other popular surfboard designs old and new.

Phil now has over 30 years shaping experience and knows how to hand shape a boards of any era that you may require. Many top surfers rode the boards that Free Flight produced, some of these were Col Smith, Michael Ho, Tony White, Hans Hederman, Danny Wills, Michelle Donoghue, Vince Klyne, Barton Lynch, Christian Cook, Rob Cribb, Rod Steels, Brad Myers, Glen Curtis, Joe Engel, Andrew McKinnon, Kevin Davidson and many more. The legendary Michael Peterson shaped his last boards at Free Flight. Bob McTavish also re-invented the longboard at the free Flight factory when the second coming of longboarding was in its infancy.

Phil says "I want the Free Flight label to reflect the work we did on Australia on channels and concaves and our own planshapes and rocker. I really don't want to do the same boards as everyone else, these boards are individual designs that work, not some clone of someone else's board"

All the boards are shaped by Phil personally. So if you want a genuine, hand shaped design by the person who shaped it in the first place and not some mass produced popout form China or a re-hashed version by someone who wasn't even born when all this happened then a Free Flight is for you, its retro and modern boards with a history!
