Phil Myers has been shaping surfboards since 1975. He started doing he own boards then had lessons from Bob McTavish and started shaping at Free Flight. He did 15 years at Free Flight then 10 years at Brothers Neilsen. After that he started doing Phil Myers surfboards.

Over the years Phil has shaped for many leading Australian brands as well as overseas labels. He has shaped boards for Free Flight, Goodtime, San Juan, Maddog, Bear, Takayama, Rawson, Local Motion, Gordon & Smith, Buttons Hawaii, Byron Bay Longboards and Byron bay Surf Co.

Some of the surfers Phil has shaped for include Col Smith, Tony White, Michael Ho, Kevin Davidson, Hans Hederman, Vince Klyne, Danny Wills, Shane Bevan, Tom Whittaker, Rique Smith, Beau Young, jack Johnson and Will Connor.

"I'm interested in the whole scope of surfing from when I was young to the present and that comes through in my shaping, surfing is not all about the world tour, surf fro your own enjoyment and ride whatever you like" says Phil.
